Place the pork belly on the rack and put it back under the broiler to crisp up into a crispy pork belly. The pork is best cooked in the water and aromatics on day one then roasted on day two.

Crispy asian pork belly. Its basically cooking your pork belly in water and aromatics till fork tender then scoring it and roasting in a very hot oven till is is all golden blistered and has crispy crackling. Broil pork belly until the skin is golden brown bubbly very crispy. It is very rich so a little should go a long way.

This should take 5-10 minutes. We had it with two kinds of dips one made with peanut butter and a simple chili dip. How to serve crispy pork belly.

This amount of meat will easily serve 8 people. Press the salt layer down lightly to compact it. Pat the pork belly skin dry with paper towel and place on a rack inside a baking tray.

Remove the top layer of sea salt from the pork belly unfold the foil and place a roasting rack on the pan. This should take 4-5 minutes per side depending on the heat. Place the pork belly on a baking rack skin side up.

Cook under the grill for approximately 15-20 minutes or until the skin is super crispy all over. If you serve it as a starter or as part of a larger meal it should easily be enough for 12 people. Spread the 6 tbsp of coarse salt on the skin leaving a 1cm perimeter.

Move the oven rack to the lowest position and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until the skin is puffy and golden brown. Discard the foil and juices and place the pork belly on a rack inside a baking tray. Pour in enough water to cover the base of the pan and place in the oven.

Use the Broil function or Airfry setting then set the temperature to 400F 425F. The final step in preparing the pork is to heat a large skillet over medium-high heat add in a teaspoon or two of oil canola peanut corn or vegetable add in the pork belly and cook it until it is crispy on the bottom then flip it and cook it until it gets crispy on the top side. Drizzle over the olive oil and rub the salt right into the skin with your hands.

First place the pork belly skin side up on an oven tray then place the oven tray on the top rack. Place the pork belly on the top rack nearer to the fire and roast for 15-20 minutes. The broiler should ideally be on low so that this process can happen gradually.

When done remove the tray from the oven and let the pork rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
